Timelines

How long does SEO take? Here is the honest timeline.

For a therapy practice, expect first movement in two to three months and compounding results across a year. Google needs time to crawl, index, and trust changes, and no honest provider can skip that cycle. Anyone promising page one in weeks is describing either a nothing keyword or a shortcut you will pay for later.

The timeline is Google's, not the provider's.

Search engines discover changes, index them, and then watch how they perform before trusting them with better positions. Each step has its own lag, and new pages on a modest site sit in that evaluation window for weeks. This is the same for everyone; the difference between providers is what they do during it, not whether it exists.

It is also why our engagements are structured as 90-day foundations: the first block of work aligns with the first full trust cycle, so by the time you decide about ongoing work, there is real movement to judge us on.

What genuinely speeds it up, and what only appears to.

Genuine accelerants: a clean, fast site machines can read; an identity that is consistent everywhere; pages published for questions with real demand and little competition; and indexing pushed to both Google and Bing the moment changes ship. We do all of it, and it shortens the window honestly.

The fakes: bought links, AI content farms, and keyword-stuffed pages. They can produce a brief bump and a lasting penalty risk, which for a licensed professional is a bad trade at any speed. We do none of it, which is also why our results survive algorithm updates.

What practices ask us.

What should we see in the first month?

The foundation: audit complete, fixes live, indexing confirmed, and a baseline report so every later month has something honest to be measured against.

When do actual inquiries start?

Most practices see attributable inquiries somewhere in months two to four, earlier in soft markets and later in saturated ones. We report it plainly rather than dressing it up.

What if nothing is moving?

Then the diagnosis changes: either the timeline needs more runway, or something specific is blocking, often on the conversion side rather than the ranking side. Monthly reporting exists precisely to catch that early and honestly.
